Friendships Last If You Make an Effort : Fact of Life

Heyzz..I'm on a blogging high now after eating 1000kcal of grilled candied walnuts ! Walnuts are good for your heart, albeit a little high in fat..but it's all good fat...and Maria just visited me, so I'm in such a chocolately, sweet-craving mood right now ! ( Those of you who know who Maria is, shut up..don't let the joke out ! )

Since I'm on a blogging high, and very very very very happy for several good friends, I want to dedicate this post to them. This post is also to serve as a self reminder of how lucky I am to have such talented, driven, funny, interesting, intelligent, beautiful ( on the inside and outside ) friends.

Really, God couldn't have blessed me with any more. Sometimes I think I don't deserve such goodness from our Abba Father...but then again, all fathers love to spoil their children ! I'm not going to get into the ' But why doesn't God care about the sick, dying, malnourished orphans in blah blah blah part of the world and war and natural disasters ' debate because my opinion on that is way too intricate and will def overshadow this post.

OKAY !!! *** DRUMROLLS, LIGHTENING, and THUNDER announce the arrival of ... ***

1) Khor Sue Ching @ CHING, CHEF. ( Say this in a very very serious manner, you'll get the effect ! ) - ( I'd normally put my friends' initials to protect their privacy but her story's just too good and needs to be given proper credit )

My, sorry, OUR darling Ching's gonna pursue culinary arts and recently received a letter to audition ( show off her culinary skills ) for the CIA, the Culinary Institute of America ! You rock, Sue Ching !

I'm really really really proud of her, she's following her heart and gonna pursue her dream ! Who cares where, as long as she gets there ! Woo hoo ! I'll be cheering you all the way ! The sad thing is...she's never cooked for me before, but I can testify of her talent with food preparation and presentation; her huge, healthy gorgeous, and entirely wholesome salads that she used to bring to school for lunch...dang you....why never cook for me one...


Sue Ching's gonna be a chef !!! A great chef, a master chef, a professor of chefs, and build a new generation of credible and reputatble...chefs !!!! Wooo hoooo !!!!!!

2) Tan Ming Ni@ MING, DEDICATED DANCER



Oh gosh, just look at her dreamy eyes...

Aww..Ming Ni's the first dancer I know personally who's going to audition for ballet/dance companies ! In Europe; Germany no less !!! PRAYING HARD FOR HER !!! I really really hope she gets in, she's an awesome dancer, expressive yet still, gentle yet sturdy, incredibily hardworking, patient, sweet, funny, and seriously self motivated. She's the most self motivated dancer I know besides Lexa, and was one of the first people I got to know at PDC - when I took over her role in Don Quixote.

Like Sue Ching, she's determined to do anything and everything she can to fulfill her dream. Rock on, you awesome ballerina !


Her smile embodies her determined spirit. She will go far.

3) Jenn and Jo Lau @ LOVABLE DUTCHESSes

My newest best friends ! ( I haven't exactly confirmed our best friend status yet but will do so asay ! ) Omg, they've already been through so much with me, even though we just got to know each other 3/4 months ago. R, Jo's bf - the 90% most perfect boyfriend in the world, is a really really great guy too; generous, understanding, humourous in his lameness, unique in his essentricness, and really really lovable in the way he cares for his girl. Aww.. EH, THIS IS BOUT JENN AND JO...

Ok, back to them. I CAN ACTUALLY CHAT GIRL WITH THEM !!! And they don't judge me by my ( lack ) of spiritual life and clothes and cash and things like that. And we can bitch together !!! Woo hoo..although the bitching does get tiring...but then we talk and talk about lots of stuff...I actually have a lot in common with them, come to think of it...

and they're so honest and straightforward and frank ! The one thing that makes them so different from the rest - they just say it as it is, no pretense, white lies, polite jokes/hints, etc. Everyone I know tries not to offend me [ like I'm that scary/unapproachable.. I'm loud sometimes but I cry too ! When you kick me, I hurt, when you cut me, I bleed ! ] but they don't. Yay.
WHY DIDN"T YOU COME INTO MY LIFE SOONER....

Thanks so much for helping me with my photos today, even though you were so pressed for time ! You're just a fantastic friend. I'm so blessed to have met you, and to have you for a friend. You always always try to help me out whenever and however you can. Why do you have to be so nice to me...sob sob sob...how to return the favours...Pray la...I will pray pray pray for you...CAN"T WAIT TO GO BOULDER TOGETHER !!! WOOO HOOO !!!!!!!!!

Special mention goes to Khai Hoong and Jon Fam - who gave me the idea ( indirectly..) of setting up this post tonight, during ANOTHER late night makan..thanks guys, you two are so sweet..Hope you'll make beautiful music together ( HAHA SOUNDS SO WRONG...I have a very bad habit of doing that..)

So, you know what ( Can hear Khai Hoong's voice in the background, NO I DON"T, TELL ME, and Jon's snicker snicker snicker and wide wide wide smile..that guy's got such a Mona Lisa smile, I just want to wipe it off him..)

I haven't touched my ballet mates yet - Wai Kit, Sharon, Claire, Siau Yin, Siew Hiong, Annie, nor my jazz mates - Tilla, Sze Sze, Kim, Mei Leng, Sook Fun, Arika, Sze Ann, Yoke Eng, Jia Sin, Angeline, Yen Shan, Mei Shang, Jessica ( kinda sorta ) , all the friends I made at BDJW 2007, my church mates - William, Wilson..ee I especially hate the latter...who coined that twin name for us... and not to mention my prayer partner/darling sis in Christ, Joanne,

school mates fr WMS [ how i miss them...Ruki, Hui Wen, Zhuang Xiao, Rachel How, Khai Wen, Tarrant, Alex, Jian Han, Yi Zhen, Peako, Mary, Caryn, Sam, Timothy, Zhi, Zhi Wen, Elsa,.the list goes on, how am I gonna list all of you..) and SBU/ BBGS - RACHEL J.R, my soul sister, the only girl I can NOT talk to for 24 months and start chatting again, picking up from where we started, our friendship's the only one that has truly tested the test of time..we can talk no matter how long things have been without needing all that fuss and polite catching up conversation awkwardness brings..where have you been !!???, and SOOK YEE....kisses fr afar.., Denise - COME TO COLORADO WITH ME !!!
